Samosir Receives Housing Renovation Aid for 556 Units Totaling Rp 11.1 Billion
The government has allocated housing renovation assistance for 556 units in Samosir Regency with a total budget of Rp 11.1 billion in 2026. This assistance is part of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Programme (BSPS), which targets low-income communities (MBR) to improve the quality of uninhabitable homes into ones that are more habitable, healthy, and safe. Overall, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has allocated a budget of Rp 22.6 billion for Samosir Regency. This budget consists of Rp 11.5 billion for slum area improvements at 25 locations as well as Rp 11.1 billion for the BSPS programme. The programme is part of the government’s efforts to improve the quality of community housing while organising settlement areas to be more orderly. “This budget support is expected to accelerate the improvement of settlement environmental quality and enhance community welfare,” said Ara on Wednesday (25/3/2026). She added that the programme also encourages community awareness to maintain environmental cleanliness and strengthens the spirit of mutual cooperation, especially in Samosir Regency. In addition to improving housing conditions, this programme is expected to strengthen collaboration between the central government, local government, and the community in realising more orderly and sustainable settlement areas. With this budget allocation, the government is optimistic that housing and settlement area development in Samosir Regency can continue to progress and provide benefits to the community.
