Salomon names RI chief

HONG KONG (Reuter): Salomon Brothers said yesterday that
Bharat Parashar was appointed president director of PT Salomon
Brothers Nusa Securities of Indonesia, its joint venture with PT
Bakrie Finance Corp.

The new venture is currently applying for its license from the
Indonesian Capital Markets Supervisory Board. Parashar will take
over responsibility for its operations in early January.

Parashar was previously executive director and chief executive
at American Express Bank in Bombay.
