Salim Group Brings Nintendo to Indonesia, Launching December 2026

The Salim Group has officially acquired the distribution business for Nintendo in Indonesia. The announcement was made by Axton Salim, the third generation of the Salim family, via his personal Instagram account. “Official… Nintendo is coming to Indonesia! Thank you Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, we will together bring smiles to many families in Indonesia,” wrote @axtonsalim in the caption of his Instagram post. One of the photos in his post series revealed that the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 will officially launch in Indonesia in December. The Salim Group purchased the distribution rights for Nintendo in Indonesia through PT Nusantara Interactive Niaga. This marks the first time Nintendo has an official channel in the Republic of Indonesia. Nintendo is a gaming console produced by Nintendo Co., Ltd. of Japan. Nintendo also operates regional branches such as Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe, which are wholly owned subsidiaries under Nintendo Co., Ltd.
