Sales Surge Leads Xpeng to Record Profit in 2025
GUANGZHOU, KOMPAS.com - Xpeng recorded significant global performance growth throughout 2025, supported by a surge in sales and the launch of several new models.
According to a report released on 20 March 2026, the brand from Guangzhou, China, achieved global sales of 429,445 units, an increase of 125.9% compared to the previous year.
In line with the sales increase, Xpeng’s revenue also surged 87.7% to 76.72 billion yuan, or approximately Rp 175 trillion.
Of that amount, the largest contribution came from vehicle sales at 68.38 billion yuan (around 9.91 billion US dollars or approximately Rp 156 trillion), up 90.8% from 2024.
The company’s performance also improved in terms of profitability. The gross profit margin rose to 18.9%, from 14.3% previously.
Xpeng also recorded a net profit for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2025, amounting to 380 million yuan, or about 55 million US dollars, equivalent to approximately Rp 850 billion.
In the same period the previous year, the company still reported a loss of 1.33 billion yuan (around 190 million US dollars or approximately Rp 2.9 trillion).
This positive performance was driven by the presence of new models such as the Xpeng X9, the latest Xpeng P7, and Xpeng G7. On the other hand, Xpeng also established a technology partnership with Volkswagen.
In the January-February 2026 period, sales were recorded at 28,415 units, down 49.5% from the same period the previous year.
This decline is suspected to be related to the reduction in subsidies for new energy vehicles in China.
