Sales of Pertamax Green 95 Surge by 267%

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has recorded significant growth in the sales of Pertamax Green 95, which features a 5% bioethanol blend (E5). Sales of the product have surged by 267% from the beginning of 202lar to August 2026.

The President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, stated that this increase in sales demonstrates that Pertamax Green 95 is becoming increasingly accepted by consumers.

“We can see here that the general sales trend of Pertamax Green products is well-received. From the beginning of 2025 until August 2026, this sales trend experienced an increase of 267%. In fact, if we look at the average daily sales, the upward trend is even higher, reaching 446%,” said Mars Ega during a Hearing (RDP) with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Tuesday (8/9/2026).

According to him, this sales trend is being balanced by an increase in the distribution of Pertamax Green outlets. Currently, Pertamax Green outlets are still concentrated on the island of Java; therefore, the company will continue to expand, coordinating with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), particularly regarding the sourcing of bioethanol suppliers.

He noted that Pertamax Green 95 is currently sold at 190 gas stations (SPBU). He detailed that of these 190 stations, 28 are located in Banten, 40 in DKI Jakarta, 53 in West Java, 16 in Central Java, 6 in DIY (Yogyakarta), and 47 in East Java.

“The average daily sales for Pertamax Green is 132 kl per day. This is a significant increase, considering that at the beginning of January, it was only around 17 kl per day. Sales continue to rise, and this is a non-subsidised product that follows market prices with RON 95 quality,” he added.
