Salatiga Police Department Destroys Thousands of Bottles of Illegal Alcohol

Officers used heavy machinery to destroy illegal alcohol (miras) at the Salatiga Police Department in Central Java on Thursday, 12 March 2026. The Salatiga Police Department destroyed a total of 3,997 bottles of alcoholic beverages seized as a result of an intensified operation ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. The destruction was conducted to create a safe, secure, and conducive atmosphere during the Lebaran 2026 holiday break.

The Head of Salatiga Police, AKBP Ade Papa Rihi, oversaw the operation, which involved gathering and destroying the confiscated alcohol bottles using heavy equipment. This enforcement action forms part of broader efforts to maintain public order and safety during the festive season.
