Salary Deduction: OPPO Mataram Employee Lodges Complaint With NTB Labour Office
A private-sector employee in Mataram, Baiq Ulfy Tarwiah Andari, has filed a complaint with NTB’s Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans NTB) over alleged unilateral salary deductions. Ulfy says her salary was cut by the Head Office at the PT World Innovative Telecommunication (OPPO) Mataram Branch.
‘I am reporting because my company’s management has been acting arbitrarily for a long time,’ Ulfy told detikBali on Wednesday (4 March 2026).
The deduction occurred in December 2025. She was said to have been absent for two days, resulting in a salary deduction of Rp 874,910.
‘Even though I had already applied for two days of leave, the salary was still cut,’ she said.
A week after the deduction, Ulfy said she received the first warning (SP) from HRD. The SP was issued because she asked for an explanation regarding the Rp 874,910 deduction.
‘I rejected this SP unless I had spoken or replied with an impolite message,’ she said.
Two days later, HRD again asked for an attendance photo. In the photo, Ulfy was deemed not to comply with the attendance rules.
‘So the company makes rules at its whim, not in accordance with the existing rules,’ she said.
Two months later, on 2 March 2026, Ulfy received a demotion letter. She was dowgraded from Supervisor (SPV) with permanent employment (PKWTT) to a promoter with fixed-term employment (PKWT).
‘I strongly refused to be demoted. Because I never received any SP and I have always finished my work without any support from my superiors,’ she said.
Ulfy also stated that every employee who protests the company’s policy is asked to leave.
‘So we are forced to resign uncomfortably. This case is not just about me; many other employees are also complaining about the policies being introduced,’ she said.
She asked NTB’s Disnaker to summon the company immediately.
‘I demand my rights; if you don’t like me personally, please terminate me and provide severance in accordance with the Employment Law,’ she asserted.
Najib, the Secretary of NTB’s Department of Manpower, confirmed that the complaint had been received. The agency will follow up the report through a mediator.
‘We will delve into it first. It will also be examined by our mediator. Of course we will follow up,’ Najib said briefly.
detikBali has sought confirmation from Juwita, HRD of OPPO Mataram Branch, regarding the complaint; as of Wednesday evening, no response via WhatsApp had been received.
