Sakuranesia Foundation and Uzbekistan forge trilateral education cooperation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sakuranesia Foundation and Karakalpak State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Nukus, Uzbekistan, for international cooperation in education, research, human resource development, and cultural exchange involving Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Japan. “The education and research exchanges connecting Uzbekistan, Japan, and Indonesia have the potential to create new knowledge and cultural networks across Asia,” said Ken Ito, Educational Advisor of Sakuranesia Foundation, in a statement from Jakarta on Sunday. The MoU signing was attended by Sakuranesia Foundation Founder Tovic Rustam, Educational Advisor Ken Ito, and Karakalpak State University Rector Jollibekov Berdiyar Bakhtiyarovich. The collaboration is supported by Visiting Professor Satoshi Togashi and Assistant Professor Janbolat Akseytov from the Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies of Karakalpakstan, who are coordinating the international partnership development. The network includes the Islamic Mass Organisations Friendship Institution (LPOI), University of Indonesia (UI), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Indonesia University of Education (UPI), Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, Bunkyo Gakuin University, Sanko Gakuin (Azalee Group), Weathernews, and Tsuzuki Education Group in Japan. Through the MoU, the collaboration is expected to expand into student exchanges, joint research, human resource development, and multidisciplinary cooperation in agriculture, environment, arts, culture, and social innovation. Chairman and Founder of Sakuranesia Foundation, Sakura Ijuin, stated that the MoU signing reinforces the foundation’s commitment to promoting international education and culture as a means to build bridges of friendship and civilisational harmony across Asia and the world. Karakalpak State University Rector Jollibekov Berdiyar Bakhtiyarovich expressed hope that the collaboration would serve as a foundation for stronger international relations. “Through this agreement, I hope cultural and academic exchanges between Indonesia, Japan, and Uzbekistan will continue to flourish,” he added.
