Said Aldi Holds Meeting with BMK 57, Discusses Young Golkar Cadre Strategy in Central Java
Said Aldi Al Idrus, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Division of the Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board (DPP), held a strategic meeting with the Barisan Muda Kosgoro 1957 (BMK 57) in Bandungan, Central Java.
The meeting focused on discussing cadre development strategies and strengthening the role of the younger generation in the political arena.
The agenda was held following the BMK 57 National Congress (Mubes), where Rizki Maulana was elected by acclamation as the new chairman, replacing Kemas Ilham Akbar, who had been actively leading the organisation.
The meeting also served as a concrete step in responding to the directive of Golkar Party Chairman H. Bahlil Lahadalia, who has designated 2026 as the party’s consolidation year towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
Said Aldi, who also serves as Chairman of the Central Leadership of the Golkar Party’s Young Generation Force (PP AMPG), highlighted the changing times due to massive digital disruption.
According to him, this has led to a decline in national values among young people, while also changing the way they view politics.
“The rapid changes in communication patterns and digital information flows have made national challenges increasingly complex. Therefore, BMK 57 together with the Karya functional organisations must be present to enhance national understanding and political education for the younger generation,” said Said Aldi Al Idrus in his statement on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
Said explained that today’s younger generation tends to prefer organisations based on hobbies, professions, communities, and social activities, rather than joining conventional political organisations. He therefore encouraged the need for transformation in the recruitment process of young cadres.
The proposed measures include creating creative, light, educational, and easily understandable digital political content, as well as expanding the space for expression for Gen Z and Millennials so they feel closer to national politics.
“The interaction patterns between cadres and young people must also change. We can no longer use overly formal and rigid approaches. It must be more flexible, communicative, and engagement-based,” he continued.
The statement was delivered by Said Aldi before hundreds of BMK 57 officials from across Indonesia. On that occasion, he was accompanied by a number of figures, including Kemas Ilham Akbar, Ubaidillah, Sedek Bahta, Ziko Odang, Rizki Maulana, Omar Syarif, Liana Piliang, and Nuansa Rambe.
