Sahroni Highlights Polri Traffic Corps' Performance in Managing 2026 Homecoming Traffic: Impressive, Though with Some Notes
Jakarta – Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni, has provided several notes regarding the 2026 homecoming traffic flow. According to him, the performance of the Polri Traffic Corps in managing homecoming traffic deserves a thumbs up, although there are several areas that need improvement. This was stated by Sahroni in his written statement today, Saturday, 28 March 2026. “Of course, every year this homecoming has its challenges, but I see that this year the Polri Traffic Corps has worked maximally, and the results are impressive and very positive. For example, regarding the fatal accidents during homecoming, which decreased by 30.41 percent compared to the previous year,” he said. Sahroni also assessed that congestion at several homecoming traffic points or return flows is something that naturally occurs along with the increasing volume of vehicles. “Regarding congestion and traffic jams, that is certainly an impact of the increasing vehicle volume, and the Traffic Corps has implemented many anticipatory measures such as local one-way systems and so on. So we in Commission III greatly appreciate the performance of the Traffic Corps during this year’s homecoming, even though there are still things that can be improved,” said Sahroni.
