Sahroni Heaps Praise on Teddy: A High-Performance Official with Initiative

NasDem Party General Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni has heaped praise on Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya. According to him, Teddy is a public official who possesses high initiative and performance in carrying out his duties overseeing the government’s agenda. “In my opinion, it is natural that there are negative comments regarding Teddy’s position and performance because it is only now that we have a public official with such high initiative and performance as Teddy,” Sahroni said in a statement on Thursday (18/6/2026). Sahroni assessed that Teddy is capable of carrying out the heavy duties as Cabinet Secretary well. He called Teddy the government’s anchor, whose role is to ensure all of the President’s programmes run smoothly. “Teddy is the government’s anchor. His function is indeed to ensure all the president’s programmes run smoothly,” he said. “His duties are heavy, and I see Teddy can carry them out well. So what Teddy is doing now is part of his responsibility as Cabinet Secretary to ensure all government agendas run according to the President’s direction,” Sahroni continued. The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives also assessed that Teddy works according to his function and authority. According to him, a Cabinet Secretary must actively provide explanations to the public when there are confusing issues related to the government. “As Cabinet Secretary, he must also comment publicly if there are confusing matters that need to be straightened out regarding the government. So Teddy has worked according to his function, and his performance is very admirable,” he said.
