Sahroni Distributes 38 Cows for Eid al-Adha Across Jakarta, Largest Weighing 1.2 Tonnes

JAKARTA — Ahmad Sahroni, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, has distributed 38 cows for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH across Jakarta, totalling 37 tonnes in weight, with the largest weighing 1.2 tonnes. An estimated 30,000 meat packages will be distributed via his Ahmad Sahroni Center (ASC) team to areas including Pademangan, Sunter Agung, Kalibaru, Koja, Cilincing, Cengkareng, and inmates at Cipinang Prison in East Jakarta. ‘Alhamdulillah, this year I am able to share with the community once again. May the sacrificial animals bring benefit and joy to recipients, especially in areas where I have been active in social activities. This is a form of gratitude and a spirit of sharing with others,’ Sahroni said in a written statement on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. He also reiterated his lifelong commitment to performing the sacrificial ritual, stating: ‘Insha’Allah, as long as I live, I am committed to sacrificing dozens of cows each year. Hopefully, in the future, I will have the means and longevity to sacrifice hundreds. Bismillah, it is intended for sharing.’
