Deputy Chairman of House Commission III Ahmad Sahroni has asked the Attorney General’s Office to ignore information regarding 41 names allegedly involved in the corruption of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, as revealed by former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sony Sonjaya. He stated the information could simply be slanderous.

“The Attorney General’s Office should just focus on Sonny Sonjaya; even if Sonny shouts out names, it could just be slander,” Sahroni said when contacted on Saturday (20/6/2026).

The Treasurer of the NasDem Party’s Central Executive Board urged the Attorney General’s Office to concentrate on investigating the criminal acts allegedly committed by Sonny Sonjaya. He also asked Sonny Sonjaya to stop dragging other people’s names into the matter merely to deceive investigators.

“The Attorney General’s Office should focus on Sonny for the criminal acts he allegedly committed. Sonny should also not drag many people’s names into this just to mislead investigators,” he said.

Sahroni said the Attorney General’s Office was welcome to delve deeper into Sonny Sonjaya’s information after the suspect’s own case had been fully investigated. “The Attorney General’s Office should continue investigating with a focus on Sonny first. Once Sonny’s case is finished, then investigate the others,” he added.

As is known, Sony Sonjaya was examined by the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office for approximately 10 hours as a suspect in the governance case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. This examination was related to the justice collaborator (JC) application submitted by Sony in this case.

Sony’s attorney, Krisna Murti, stated that during the day’s examination, Sony was again asked by investigators to elaborate on 26 names of parties who proposed the determination points for the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) or MBG kitchens. Krisna mentioned that the number of 26 names had grown to 41 names.

“So, from the 26 names we previously mentioned, when one person’s chat results were just opened, the table contained approximately, in total, 41 names. So the total has now increased to 41 names,” Krisna told reporters at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes building of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office in South Jakarta on Thursday (18/6).
