Sahroni Commends Police Decision to Dismiss Former Bima Police Chief Charged with Drug Offences
Deputy Chairman of House of Representatives Commission III Ahmad Sahroni has welcomed the National Police's decision to dismiss former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro through an ethics hearing over narcotics abuse violations. Sahroni urged the police ranks not to take the matter lightly.
"This demonstrates the National Police Chief's commitment to his ranks — do not take liberties," Sahroni said when contacted on Friday (20/2/2026).
He stressed that officers must be prepared to face the consequences of any misconduct. "Whatever conduct violates the rules, you must accept the consequences," he added.
He also encouraged the National Police's Internal Affairs Division (Div Propam) to remain proactive in monitoring police personnel, so that similar incidents do not recur.
"Internal Affairs must be proactive with its ranks, particularly regarding internal oversight, to prevent similar conduct," he said.
The Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing for former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro has been concluded. AKBP Didik was found to have committed violations in a narcotics abuse case.
National Police Public Relations Division spokesperson Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko stated that the Commission was chaired by Deputy Chief of General Oversight Inspector General Merdisyam, whilst the Deputy Chair position was filled by Internal Affairs Division Professional Oversight Bureau Chief Brigadier General Agus Wijayanto.
"The sanction imposed is an ethical one — the offender's conduct has been declared a disgraceful act," Trunoyudo told journalists at the TNCC Building, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Thursday (19/2).
AKBP Didik was sentenced to seven days of special placement (patsus). The National Police also imposed a dishonourable discharge (PTDH) on Didik.
"The decision is a dishonourable discharge, or PTDH, as a member of the National Police," he said.
