Sahid sets up hotel firm

JAKARTA (JP): The Sahid Group announced yesterday the establishment of PT Sahid International Hotel Management & Consultant Corporation, which will manage its hotels with an investment of Rp 50 billion (US$21.7 million).

"The new subsidiary is meant to increase the professionalism and efficiency in the management of its growing hotel business," the group's chairman, Sukamdani Sahid Gitosardjono said.

He said the current number of the group's hotels is 13 with 2,645 rooms.

He added that the number of the group's hotels will increase to 20 in 1998 with more than 4,700 rooms.

The launching ceremony of the new company will be held on Jan. 19. (kod)
