Sahid, Peony sign deal
JAKARTA (JP): PT Peony Blanket Industry Indonesia, an Indonesian-Japanese company, has appointed PT Sahid Detolin Textile (Sadetex) as the sole agent to market its acrylic and fire-proof blankets in Indonesia and in the Asia-Pacific region.
Under a deal signed by the two companies here yesterday, Sadetex, a hotel interior textile and linen maker of the Sahid Group, would market the blankets equally in the designated areas.
Budi Komala of Peony said Sadetex was expected to sell between 9,000 and 10,000 meters of blankets per month.
Peony is 60 percent owned by Yamaken Ltd. of Japan and 40 percent by businessman Tommy Hidayat of Indonesia.
Sadetex's president, Hariyadi Sukamdani, said that his company was established in 1983 to make towels, damasks and bed-sheets and supply them to star-rated hotels, hospitals, restaurants, airlines, apartments, clubs and retail stores in Indonesia.
He said that his company, which had 500 hotels as its customers, had exported its products to member countries of ASEAN, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and Germany. (icn)
