JAKARTA - PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) is strengthening its fuel distribution fleet by adding 114 new tanker trucks. The company now operates a total of 1,885 tanker trucks to distribute fuel oil (BBM) during the Ramadan-Eid period.

Managing Director of PT Elnusa Petrofin, Doni Indrawan, stated that the fleet expansion is part of the company’s strategy to enhance the reliability of fuel distribution amid potential surges in national energy consumption.

This step is taken to ensure smooth energy distribution during the Ramadan-Idulfitri Task Force period for 2026/1447 Hijriah, which runs from 9 March to 1 April 2026.

“The Ramadan-Idulfitri Task Force is a strategic national service mission that demands comprehensive operational readiness. We are ensuring that all aspects, from human resources (HR), fleet, to distribution control systems, are in optimal condition,” said Doni in an official statement on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

In addition, Elnusa has prepared 225 additional fleet units through a spot charter scheme as reserve capacity (buffer capacity) to anticipate spikes in fuel demand in various regions.

On the human resources side, the company is deploying 7,567 tanker truck crew members (AMT) spread across all operational areas. Elnusa is also enhancing the competencies of 1,083 AMT through training programmes to ensure service standards and safety remain maintained.

Meanwhile, in terms of safety, the company is implementing HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment)-based standards, including the operation of Road Traffic Control (RTC) as well as providing 124 rest areas and checkpoints for tanker truck crew.

Every driver is required to rest after a maximum of four hours of driving as part of efforts to mitigate fatigue risks (fatigue management).

In supporting national energy distribution stability, the company is also supplying fuel to strategic sectors, including 520 Police Fuel Stations (SPBP), 638 Premium and Diesel Oil Agents (APMS) across Indonesia, including 3T (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped) regions.

Doni stated that through this fleet and distribution system strengthening, Elnusa reaffirms its commitment to keeping energy supplies safe, reliable, and on time, so that the public can carry out their homecoming activities smoothly and comfortably.

“We are committed to ensuring that energy remains available safely, on time, and sustainably, so that the public can perform their worship and celebrate Eid al-Fitr peacefully,” he concluded.
