Police Academy cadets are educating road users on safe Eid travel for 1447 Hijriah along Jalan Raya Arteri Daan Mogot in West Jakarta. A persuasive approach is employed by greeting, educating, and socialising police services to the public.

Akpol cadets from classes 58, 59, and 60 held a briefing titled “Mudik Aman” as a preventive measure to curb accident risks amid the surge in mobility during the homecoming period.

Brigadir Kepala Taruna (BKT) Tribrata Putra Sambo stated that the activity emphasises the importance of safe driving and adherence to traffic rules.

“Police Academy cadets are providing education to the public on the importance of safe driving during mudik, as well as compliance with traffic regulations,” said Tribrata Putra Sambo in his statement on Thursday (19/3/2026).

Tribrata assessed that traffic awareness is often neglected amid the euphoria of mudik, even though vehicle density, driver fatigue, and road conditions trigger accidents.

“Simple compliance such as using standard helmets, maintaining safe distances, to not forcing oneself to drive when tired can significantly reduce fatality risks on the road,” said Tribrata.

Brigadir Kepala Taruna (BKT) Andika Rizky Nugroho introduced the 110 service centre as a quick channel for complaints and requests for police assistance.

“Many people still do not utilise the 110 service centre when facing emergencies on the road, from accidents, criminal acts to other security disturbances. Therefore, socialisation is important to convey to the public,” said Andika.

Andika believes that direct interaction in public spaces can build trust and communication between the public and law enforcement officials.

“From there, it is hoped that trust will grow and communication will become more open,” said Andika.

The activity involved several Akpol cadets from various classes, including BKT Devan Efrain Hutabarat, BKT Daniel Damanik, BKT Haekal Husein, and BKT Reinhart Josua.

In addition, participants included BT Muhamad Rashya, BT Satrio Akbar Nugroho, BT Aloysius Rakha Rajendra, up to ABT Fasya Fernanda Islamy and ABT Elfiantara Baskara.
