Jakarta — Indonesia’s state mining holding company MIND ID, together with its subsidiary enterprises including ANTAM, Bukit Asam, INALUM, TIMAH, and Vale Indonesia, has supported the implementation of the 2026 Mudik Bersama (joint homecoming) programme. The initiative was launched through collaboration between the MIND ID Group and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources via the Joint Mudik Sector Initiative, as well as with the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Board (BP BUMN) through the Comfortable Mudik Programme, on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Under the 2026 Joint Mudik Sector Initiative, the MIND ID Group provided 15 buses for a total of 756 passengers departing directly from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office. The departure of the energy sector homebound travellers was witnessed directly by MIND ID Chief Executive Officer Maroef Sjamsoeddin.

Meanwhile, under the Comfortable Mudik Programme administered by BP BUMN, the MIND ID Group provided 13 buses and 4 ships for a total of 944 passengers departing directly from the main stadium at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). The departure of this group was witnessed directly by MIND ID Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dany Amrul Ichdan.

In total, the MIND ID Group transported 1,700 homebound travellers using 28 buses and 4 ships. This initiative represents the company’s commitment to providing safe, comfortable, and economical travel for the public. To support traveller comfort and safety, as well as risk mitigation, MIND ID prepared travel supplies including t-shirts, hats, neck pillows, goodie bags, travel medications, and meals during the journey.

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia expressed appreciation to all energy sector companies, including the MIND ID Group, for their proactive support of this year’s Joint Mudik programme. According to him, the joint mudik initiative is a manifestation of the government, public, and all stakeholders’ shared commitment to creating festive celebrations for Eid al-Fitr 2026.

“We pray that all our brothers and sisters participating in the joint mudik programme are protected throughout their journey and can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with joy,” he said.

In a separate statement, the Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Board (BP BUMN) Dony Oskaria described the free mudik programme as a concrete manifestation of efforts to be present and provide direct benefits to the public, particularly during an important moment such as Eid al-Fitr.

The state, through state enterprises including the MIND ID Group, is also assisting the public in realising safer and more comfortable homebound travel.

“The BUMN Free Mudik Programme represents mutual cooperation and BUMN’s concern for the public. We want to ensure that the public can undertake homebound travel in a safer, more comfortable, and secure manner, while also helping to reduce traffic congestion during the Lebaran period,” said Dony.

Pria Utama, Corporate Secretary of MIND ID, stated that travelling together has become part of MIND ID’s social responsibility to facilitate public access to their hometowns whilst helping to ease the burden of homebound traffic congestion.

“Mudik should feel comfortable on the road and peaceful in the heart. Through synergy between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and BP BUMN, we ensure a roadworthy fleet, proper departure procedures, and supporting services that enable travellers to arrive home safely and ready to celebrate Lebaran,” he said.

According to Pria, the significance of the mudik season extends beyond mere physical travel; it also serves as an opportunity to strengthen family bonds and reinforce shared values. “Mudik is an important moment for Indonesian society. For this reason, we want to ensure that this journey can be undertaken safely, comfortably, and with happiness,” said Pria.
