Sacrificial Cow in Bogor's Babakan Madang Escapes During Feeding and Jumps into Drainage Ditch

A sacrificial cow fell into a drainage ditch in Citaringgul Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor, West Java, after escaping while being fed. Bogor Regency Fire Department Head Yudi Santosa stated on Wednesday (27 May 2026) that the animal became agitated and leaped into the ditch when its owner attempted to feed it. The incident occurred on Tuesday (26 May), with the cow trapped in a deep ditch and unable to move. Despite the owner’s efforts to rescue it, assistance was required. Fire department personnel responded to the report and successfully evacuated the cow after 45 minutes of efforts.
