This year’s Idul Adha celebrations have been leveraged by several companies to share joy with communities in disaster-affected areas of Aceh, including Indodax. The cryptocurrency asset trading firm, alongside AyoBantu and Sekolah Relawan, distributed sacrificial animals to regions with limited distribution access.

Fifteen sacrificial animals – five cows and ten goats – were distributed across five locations in Aceh Tamiang Regency and Aceh Timur Regency. The initiative reached at least 584 beneficiary families in previously disaster-affected areas with restricted aid access.

Indodax Chief Marketing Officer Aloysia Dian stated the programme is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to demonstrate tangible social concern for those in need, particularly in Aceh. She expressed hope that the initiative would bring happiness to the beneficiary communities.

“Beyond that, we want to show that our fellow citizens in disaster-affected areas of Aceh remain an inseparable part of all of us. We hope this small step can continue and benefit more communities in the future,” Dian said.

The initiative is part of Indodax’s ongoing Indonesia-focused efforts, which have previously included social aid distribution to various disaster-stricken regions across the country. Alongside fostering the spirit of sharing during Idul Adha, the programme aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically the Zero Hunger target to eradicate hunger and ensure food security for those in need.

Distribution locations included Alur Tani 1 and Rongoh in Tamiang Hulu District, Blang Kandis in Bandar Pusaka District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Alue Rincong in Pante Bidari District, and Batu Sumbang in Simpang Jernih District, Aceh Timur Regency.
