Sachroni installed acting governor

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Minister of Home Affairs Moh. Yogie
S.M. inducted yesterday Oman Sachroni as acting governor of
Lampung replacing Poedjono Pranjoto who began serving as a
legislator last Wednesday.

Oman is also Director General for General Administration and
Regional Autonomy at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Poedjono had recently been elected a deputy speaker of the
People's Consultative Assembly.

"Oman is the most suitable replacement for Poedjono," Yogie
was quoted by Antara as addressing the plenary of the provincial
legislative council. The next gubernatorial election will take
place next year. (swe)
