Reported by detikSumbagsel on Friday 22 May 2026, the defendant Zainal Abidin underwent a charging hearing at Palembang’s Class IA District Court on Thursday 21 May. Prosecutor Dyah Rahmawati, before the panel of judges chaired by Parmatoni, said the defendant was proven beyond reasonable doubt to have committed an unlawful act by selling and offering narcotics of the first category with a weight exceeding five grams. According to the indictment, Zainal Abidin was arrested by personnel of the Ditresnarkoba (Narcotics Directorate) of the South Sumatra Police at his home in Dusun V, Desa Tanjung Raja Selatan, Kecamatan Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir Regency, on 11 November 2025.
