Saan Mustopa's Message to NasDem Cadres in Kuningan District
The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Democratic Mandate Party (NasDem) Kuningan District held an inauguration ceremony for the leadership of 32 Branch Leadership Councils (DPC) and conducted a Regional Work Meeting (Rakerda). The agenda, held in Sanggariang, Kuningan, was attended directly by Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives and Vice Chairman of NasDem, Saan Mustopa.
In his guidance, Saan explained that the inauguration of 32 DPCs throughout Kuningan District represented a strategic step for the party. As an effort to distribute party strength evenly, the officials were recruited from representatives of each village in the Kuningan region.
“These 32 DPCs are structured on what basis? DPRT. So all villages, yes. So they represent the village. So if there are 361 villages in the area, then the total number of DPC officials in Kuningan District is 361 people. That is the minimum, and they are distributed in each village respectively. Well, because we indeed want to carry out what is called even distribution,” said Saan on Monday, 9 March 2026.
Following the inauguration, Saan instructed all DPC officials to immediately gather mass support in their respective areas using a polling station (TPS) based approach. Through this system, he expressed optimism that NasDem would be able to break into the top three positions in the 2029 general election.
“Second, with the formation of DPC officials, the question is how to build DPRT based on TPS going forward, which is planned to be completed this year in 2026. If we can do this, the stage of structural formation, this is capital. Initial capital for NasDem heading towards top three in Kuningan District,” said Saan.
Furthermore, Saan emphasised the importance of maintaining the rhythm of organisational work. After the structure is established, DPD and DPC officials are expected to consistently maintain communication with constituents to absorb public aspirations directly.
“The question is how to maintain, care for, nurture, and activate the structure. DPC and later also DPRT. And of course Kang Sohibul as chairman of the DPD already has many plans, many programmes so that this party structure remains enthusiastic, continues to build communication with the community, builds attraction and wins the hearts of people in Kuningan District,” said Saan.
Meanwhile, Chairman of NasDem DPD Kuningan District, Sohibul Imam, affirmed his side’s readiness to carry out central directives. He targeted a significant increase in the number of seats in the Kuningan District Regional Legislative Council in the 2029 political contest.
“In accordance with the directive from the Vice Chairman, that for the Kuningan District Regional Legislative Council, which currently has only 3 seats. It is hoped that in 2029, the range could be around 7. Where currently we still have two electoral districts that are empty, Electoral District 1 and Electoral District 5. And there are electoral districts with many seat allocations, such as Electoral District 2, Electoral District 3, which have 12 each, but currently we only have 1, so going forward we must ensure that we can obtain 2 seats,” said Sohibul.
Sohibul detailed that there were 480 DPC officials inaugurated on this day. This personnel strength was claimed as the main foundation for strengthening party structure down to the grassroots level.
“The number of DPC officials that we are inaugurating now, as the Vice Chairman mentioned earlier, we have 15 officials in each DPC and we have 32, so the total now is 480 people that we are inaugurating today. So in my view, this is initial capital in order for us to form lower levels of leadership below it such as DPRT, thus strengthening the overall party structure down to the lower level,” concluded Sohibul.
