Saan Mustopa Opens Independence Run 10K and Gowes Kemerdekaan in Karawang

Deputy Chairman of the NasDem Party Central Board and member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Saan Mustopa opened the Independence Run 10K and Gowes Kemerdekaan organised by the NasDem Party Regional Board of Karawang Regency, West Java, on Monday (17/8). The event was part of the series of commemorations for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Thousands of participants, comprising running communities, cyclists, and the general public, filled the venue from the morning.

The opening of the Independence Run 10K and Gowes Kemerdekaan was carried out by Saan Mustopa together with the Chairman of the NasDem Party Regional Board of Karawang, Dian Fahrud Jaman. The event carried a spirit of togetherness while inviting the public to commemorate independence through sporting activities.

Saan said that the commemoration of independence should be interpreted by building a healthy lifestyle and strengthening public unity. According to him, mass sports activities provide a space to bring together various elements of society.

“We channel this spirit of independence through positive energy via sport. Besides maintaining fitness, this activity is a momentum to strengthen fellowship and solidarity among the people of Karawang,” said Saan on the sidelines of the event.

He assessed that exercising together not only provides health benefits but can also strengthen relationships among the public. Therefore, activities involving communities and the general public need to be continuously encouraged.

Chairman of the NasDem Party Regional Board of Karawang, Dian Fahrud Jaman, said the event was a form of the party’s commitment to be present and mingle with the public. He appreciated the enthusiasm of residents who took part in the series of activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

“The NasDem Party always proves its commitment to always be present in the midst of society through various forms of activities, especially the commemoration of Indonesia’s independence day,” said Dian.

In addition to the 10K run and cycling event, the activity was enlivened by a public entertainment stage and the distribution of a number of door prizes. Thousands of participants took part in the entire series of events in an orderly manner until the activity ended.

Through this activity, the NasDem Party Regional Board of Karawang not only held an independence celebration but also encouraged public participation in sporting activities and strengthened togetherness within the community.
