S. Korean man believed drowned
DENPASAR, Bali: Kuta beach rescuers are still searching for
the body of a South Korean man who was reported missing after he
went swimming on Saturday.
"We're still combing the shore along Kuta to find the body of
the tourist," Antara quoted a local lifeguard as saying.
The young Korean man, Lee Seong Weon, was reported to have
drowned while swimming along the famed seafront.
The death of the Korean raises the number of deaths of foreign
tourists in the area this year to four. Previous deaths were of
Singaporean, Swiss and British nationals.
Lifeguards warn that strong currents and strong waves hitting
Kuta would continue until October. Vacationers are urged to obey
warning signs when swimming along the beach. (mds)
