S. Korean envoy submits credentials
JAKARTA: South Korea's new ambassador to Indonesia Lee Sun-jin submitted his credentials to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Wednesday at the presidential palace.
Ambassador Lee is an experienced and adept diplomat.
Lee joined the South Korean foreign service in 1975 after receiving a degree in international relations from the prestigious Seoul National University.
During his distinguished three-decade diplomatic career, Lee has served in the U.S., Lebanon, Hong Kong, China and Japan in various positions.
Prior to his posting in Jakarta, Lee was deputy minister for policy planning and international organizations at the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Seoul.
Lee is married and has one son and one daughter. -- JP
