S. Korean, Algerian nabbed in Bandung
BANDUNG: The immigration office has taken two foreigners into custody for violating immigration regulations, Antara reported on Saturday.
Lim Sung Su, a 46-year-old South Korean national, and Nemoar Kamil, a 35-year-old Algerian, were apprehended in separate places last Wednesday after they were discovered to be working without the necessary permits.
Bandung immigration chief Riawan said here that Lim was arrested while working for a gardening company in Lembang in Bandung's northern outskirts. He said Lim could not produce the required work permit and had apparently entered Indonesia under a false name.
Algerian Nemoar Kamil was caught on the same day working for a money-changer on Jl. Naripan in Bandung's city center. He was arrested because his visa was invalid.
