S. Korea to hold art exhibition
JAKARTA: The South Korean Embassy in Jakarta will hold an art exhibition in an effort to raise funds for the victims of the tsunami disaster in Aceh province, the embassy said in a statement on Tuesday.
The embassy's Press and Cultural Attache, Kim Sang-sool said that the art exhibition for Aceh would be held from Jan. 28 to Jan. 31 at the Korea Association Hall at the Korea Center in Jakarta.
South Korean Ambassador Yun Hai-jung will officially open the exhibition on Friday.
The embassy also will invite three professors from Hanyang Women's University to take part in the exhibition -- Prof. Song Mi-rim, Prof. Park Jung-ley and Prof. Chung Yong-jae.
Song, who is also the President of the Hanyang Ceramic Art Exhibition will exhibit ceramic art, Park will display her creations in textile design art, while Chung will present fine art.
Half of the total amount raised from the sales of art and ceramic items will be donated to the victims of the tsunami disaster in Aceh. --JP
