Russia Attacks Multiple Ukrainian Ports

The Russian armed forces have continued to launch attacks on Ukrainian ports used for the delivery of goods to the Ukrainian armed forces, according to the Russian Defence Ministry on Wednesday (15 July).

“Tonight, the Russian armed forces continued to launch attacks on Ukrainian ports used for the delivery of goods to the Ukrainian armed forces,” the ministry said in a statement.

The Russian Defence Ministry said four cargo warships carrying goods for the benefit of the Ukrainian armed forces had been targeted by Russian attacks at two Ukrainian sea ports, namely Chernomorsk (Chornomorsk) and Dnepro-Bugsky (Dnieper-Bug). The Russian military also attacked port infrastructure facilities, fuel tanks, and drone production and assembly workshops at the ports of Odessa and Chernomorsk.

The Russian Defence Ministry added that a container ship and a bulk carrier transporting supplies for Ukrainian troops were also hit by Russian air strikes at the Port of Chornomorsk, in the Odessa region.

Two dry cargo ships that were unloading goods for Ukraine were also reported to have been struck whilst at the Port of Dnepro-Bugsky, in the Nikolayev (Mykolaiv) region.

In addition, the ministry said attacks carried out by crews of “Russian Geran” drones had destroyed a gas distribution station used by Ukraine in Kramatorsk, in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The Russian Defence Ministry also released footage of the attacks and stated that its forces continue to target facilities supplying energy to companies supporting Ukraine’s military industry. (Ant/P-3)
