Moscow (ANTARA) — Nikolai Patrushev, an adviser to the President of Russia, and Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, signed a maritime cooperation plan through 2030 on Friday. The document was signed during Russia–Vietnam consultations on maritime issues held in Moscow. The discussions covered maritime sector cooperation between the two countries, including shipbuilding and repair, and personnel training. Both sides also placed particular emphasis on cooperation to ensure the security of commercial shipping. Additionally, the talks addressed military-technical cooperation and the use of the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor for the interests of both countries. The meeting was attended by representatives from Russian and Vietnamese ministries and government agencies, as well as leaders of several shipbuilding companies.
