Russia and Iran emphasise ongoing negotiations to ease Middle East tensions
Moscow (ANTARA) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko met with Iran’s Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, in Moscow, where both emphasised the importance of an ongoing negotiation process to reduce tensions in the Middle East. “The meeting stressed the need to resolve existing contradictions through political means and sustained negotiation efforts for de-escalation of tensions and achieving a normal, long-term, and sustainable situation, which will serve the fundamental interests of all countries in the region,” according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow on Thursday.
