“The current conditions and prospects for Russia-Iran cooperation in the energy sector, which is one of the primary areas of bilateral economic cooperation, were discussed,” the ministry stated.

The meeting also addressed current issues regarding the operation of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, the ministry added.

The Russian Ministry of Energy also stated that the meeting discussed the preparation of a substantial agenda and other issues related to Iran’s participation in the Russian Energy Week (REW) and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), which are scheduled to be held in Moscow on 14-16 October and 25-27 October, respectively.
