Russia and China support sustainable peace in Ukraine

Moscow (ANTARA) - Russia and China support all efforts to achieve sustainable peace in Ukraine, as stated in a joint declaration issued by both countries following negotiations on Wednesday.

“The parties support all efforts contributing to the creation of long-term and sustainable peace, and encourage the continued search for solutions through dialogue and negotiation,” the document stated.

The declaration also reaffirmed that Russia and China support the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict through dialogue and negotiation.

Both nations believe in the necessity of thoroughly addressing the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis based on compliance with the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter.

Russia also expressed appreciation for China’s objective position regarding the conflict in Ukraine and welcomed Beijing’s desire to play a constructive role in the conflict resolution process.
