Rumours of Cabinet Reshuffle Today, Bima Arya Responds

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Rumours are circulating that the Palace will announce a cabinet reshuffle. Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto emphasised that the issue of a cabinet reshuffle is entirely the prerogative of the President. He stated that as of now, there has been no official information regarding the matter within the Ministry of Home Affairs. However, the PAN party politician affirmed that he is prepared for any scenario. “Well, that’s the prerogative of the President. We are ready for all scenarios; the important thing now is for the entire cabinet to keep working. I myself haven’t heard anything,” Bima Arya said after the Peak Ceremony for the Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of Regional Autonomy at the Ministry of Home Affairs Plaza, Central Jakarta, on Monday (27/4/2026). He also confirmed that he has no knowledge of the parties that might be affected by the reshuffle. According to him, all ministry ranks are choosing to remain focused on carrying out their duties. “No, we haven’t heard anything at all. We’re just focusing on working,” he said. In media circles, rumours of a cabinet reshuffle have been rife. Even several names that are expected to enter the cabinet have been circulating.
