Rumania aids silkworm farm

JAKARTA (JP): Rumanian state forestry company Sericarom S.A. agreed here yesterday to assist a silkworm breeding project of Perum Perhutani, an Indonesian state plantation company.

The Rumanian embassy said Sericarom would help Perum Perhutani's sericulture development project and train local staff on sericulture technology and management.

This is the second contract between the parties on silkworm breeding.

The first contract was signed in February. This project ended in May.

The three-month cooperation contract was witnessed by Rumanian Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Dumitru Tancu and Director General for Reforestation and Land Rehabilitation Hendarsun Suryasanusiputra. (04)
