Rudy's Homecoming Journey Becomes More Peaceful, Motorcycle Safely Deposited at Setu Police Station

One of the residents of Setu, Bekasi, named Rudy, admitted that this year’s Eid al-Fitr homecoming to his hometown felt more peaceful. He deposited his motorcycle at Setu Police Station before leaving Bekasi.

Rudy admitted to being worried about the safety of his motorcycle if left at home during the homecoming. He then took advantage of the vehicle deposit service opened by Setu Police Station.

“Thank you for accepting the deposit of my motorcycle at Setu Police Station,” said Rudy on Tuesday (24/3/2026).

According to Rudy, the motorcycle deposit service from Polda Metro Jaya is highly beneficial for the community. He said he could enjoy the Eid holiday moments without worrying about his vehicle being stolen.

“I went back to my hometown and alhamdulillah, everything was safe,” said Rudy.

Polda Metro Jaya is known to have opened a free vehicle deposit service for the public planning to homecoming for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. The service is available across Polda Metro Jaya units, from Polres to Polsek, and is intended for residents wishing to deposit motorcycles or cars while leaving their homes to return to their hometowns.

This programme is presented as a measure to anticipate vehicle theft crimes or other public order disturbances when residential areas are left empty during homecoming. In addition to opening the vehicle deposit service, police units are also intensifying patrols in residential areas to provide a sense of security to the community, in line with the tagline “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family.”

The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that the appreciation expressed by the community is proof that the Indonesian National Police’s humane services are truly felt to be beneficial. According to him, the presence of the free vehicle deposit service is a form of Polda Metro Jaya’s commitment to providing protection and peace of mind to residents during the Eid homecoming period.

“Appreciation from the community certainly serves as motivation for us to continue delivering the best services. This free vehicle deposit service is a manifestation of the Indonesian National Police’s care so that the public can homecoming peacefully, without worries about the security of the vehicles left behind. We want to bring a sense of security, while ensuring that the Eid momentum can be enjoyed by the community with full happiness together with their families,” said Budi.
