Rudy Tanoesoedibjo Absent Again, KPK Warns: Do Not Delay the Investigation!
The President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo (BRT), also known as Rudy Tanoe, failed to appear for questioning by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today. Rudy was summoned in connection with the alleged corruption case involving the transportation of social assistance (bansos) in 2020.
“Today, the witness summoned, Mr BRT, once again did not attend the scheduled examination,” explained KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in South Jakarta on Thursday (6/8/2026).
Budi stated that Rudy Tanoe requested a rescheduling. The KPK urged Rudy not to delay the investigation process. “He has confirmed a request for rescheduling. On this occasion, the KPK urges the witness to be cooperative for the next summons or scheduled examination, so that continuous rescheduling does not end up delaying the investigation process,” he said.
Budi mentioned that Rudy’s reason was that he had another engagement. According to Budi, Rudy claimed this engagement had been scheduled beforehand. “Because there was confirmation from the person concerned that there was another activity or engagement that had been scheduled previously,” he said.
If he fails to comply with the next summons, Budi stated that KPK investigators would consider further legal action. “Of course, later the investigators will consider the next legal steps against parties who again fail to attend the scheduled examination,” he added.
Rudy is a suspect in the social assistance corruption case. The KPK was known to have summoned Rudy Tanoe today. Previously, the KPK had named Rudy as a suspect in the case. “BRT, President Commissioner of PT DNR,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Thursday (6/8).
The KPK had previously announced five new suspects in the alleged corruption case regarding the distribution of social assistance at the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2020. The suspects consist of three individuals and two corporations.
The KPK also imposed a travel ban on four individuals in connection with this case. They are President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo (BRT); Director of Operations of DNR Logistics for 2021-2024, Herry Tho (HT); President Director of DNR Logistics for 2018-2022, Kanisius Jerry Tengker (KJT); and Expert Staff to the Minister for Social Change and Dynamics at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Edi Suharto (ES).
The KPK has not provided detailed explanations regarding the identities of the suspects in this case. The identity of one suspect only became known when Rudy Tanoesoedibjo filed a pre-trial motion at the South Jakarta District Court. The judge rejected the pre-trial motion, meaning Rudy’s suspect status remains valid. The KPK had previously summoned Rudy Tanoe regarding the transportation of social assistance distribution in 2020 on Friday (28/11/2025). However, Rudy Tanoe did not comply with the KPK’s summons.
