Rudy Susmanto: IKN Development Continues, Not Abandoned
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto recently visited the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, to observe the progress of development firsthand. Susmanto visited key locations including the State Palace and Taman Kusuma Bangsa. He asserted that construction at IKN is ongoing and has not stalled. “All development is continuing, all places are well maintained,” he stated via his Instagram account on Tuesday (14/7/2026). He further noted that President Prabowo Subianto has issued a mandate to make IKN the political capital by 2028. “And of course, the President has issued a Presidential Regulation that the political capital in 2028 is the Nusantara Capital Authority. Welcome to IKN,” he explained. Susmanto also visited the tripartite area for the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, the State Mosque, and drinking water infrastructure projects that are still under construction. After his tour, Susmanto reiterated that development is progressing and narratives suggesting the project has stalled are false. “The reality on the ground is different from the circulating narratives. IKN has not stopped, but continues to move and develop. IKN is a symbol of national development sustainability,” he stressed. “This is the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, who works quietly. Not much talk, but continues to deliver real results. Good development must be continued for the interests of the people and the future of the nation,” he concluded.
