Rudy Officially Becomes New President Director of Astra (ASII), Chatib Basri Becomes Commissioner
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) has overhauled its management structure. This decision was agreed upon at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held today, Thursday (23/4/2026).
In the board of commissioners, shareholders decided to appoint Chatib Basri. Meanwhile, in the board of directors, shareholders agreed to appoint Rudy as the new president director.
During the AGMS press conference for Astra 2026, Rudy stated that his vision is to ensure Astra continues to grow and remain relevant with the motto “pride of the nation.”
To that end, Rudy said Astra will drive asset growth by strengthening its business portfolio. This is a long-term plan.
“For the short term, of course, with the current situation, we will keep the company stable, and the measure is that we still have those KPIs,” Rudy said during the AGMS press conference for Astra 2026 at Menara Astra, Thursday (23/4/2026).
