Rudy Mas'ud to Use Personal Funds for Official Residence Renovation, Including Massage Chair and Aquarium
East Kalimantan – East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas’ud will cover the renovation of his official residence and the procurement of a massage chair using personal funds. He is committed to maintaining public trust, particularly in East Kalimantan.
This was revealed by Rudy Mas’ud in a video uploaded to his Instagram social media on Sunday, 26 April 2026.
“I will personally cover the renovation items for the official residence that are outside official functions, including the massage chair and saltwater aquarium,” said Rudy, quoted on Monday, 27 April 2026.
In addition, he has invited the entire renovation package to be audited openly so that the public can monitor it clearly.
“All items in the renovation package will be evaluated and re-audited openly so that the public can see clearly and participate in monitoring,” he stated.
Rudy will also adjust the use of leadership facility budgets to make them simpler and more oriented towards public needs.
“In the future, we will also make adjustments so that the use of leadership facility budgets is simpler and more focused on public needs,” he said.
Rudy emphasised that his side will open wide spaces for transparency to the public. The aim is for every policy to be understood and monitored together.
