Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa has officially inaugurated I Nyoman Rudiarta as Head of the Civil Registry and Population Agency (Kadisdukcapil). Rudiarta previously served as Head of the Tourism Office (Kadispar) in Badung.

The inauguration took place at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall, Puspem Badung, on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Rudiarta’s new position is also based on a decree from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri).

“This inauguration is not merely ceremonial, but a great trust to undertake new duties as Head of Kadisdukcapil Badung. Especially since this agency’s position is very strategic, closely related to our status as a tourism destination area,” said Adi Arnawa at Puspem Badung.

This change in agency head is considered crucial for tightening supervision over the influx of population movements to the Badung region. Adi Arnawa emphasised that the quality of population administration services also reflects the performance of high-quality public services.

“Services at Disdukcapil directly impact the tourism sector because they concern quality, not just infrastructure issues. I hope the new official will soon outline the vision and mission within the Badung RPJMD 2024-2029,” said Adi Arnawa after the integrity pact signing ceremony.

Rudiarta previously served as Head of Dispar Badung since late 2021. Before that, Rudiarta was Subdistrict Head of Kuta since 2019, then participated in the bidding for the Head of Kadispar Badung position along with four other subdistrict heads.

In addition to inaugurating the echelon II official, Adi Arnawa also handed over civil servant appointment letters (SK PNS) to 580 individuals from the 2024 formation selection. These hundreds of new public servants consist of 270 in group II and 310 in group III.

“You must prepare yourselves with intellectual abilities and competencies underpinned by high integrity and discipline. Do not just work routinely, but must learn a lot, read, and listen to input,” Adi Arnawa stressed in front of the hundreds of new civil servants.

Adi advised all civil servants in the Badung Regency Government environment to start changing their mindset from mere order recipients to innovation initiators. He reminded the civil servants to discard ego far away and to possess insights capable of competing at the international level.
