Rubio: US needs to maintain relations with Russia

Washington (ANTARA) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington should maintain relations and dialogue with Russia, despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

“At the very least, we must maintain relations and dialogue with Russia, it must be so,” Rubio said in a hearing of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday.

“There are some issues in our bilateral relations that have nothing to do with Ukraine,” he said, expressing his belief that US-Russia relations will become more friendly and easier to manage after the Ukraine conflict is resolved.
