Ruben Onsu Absent, Investigation into Alleged Investment Fraud Postponed

The examination of Ruben Onsu as a suspect in an alleged investment fraud case has been postponed. The examination was originally planned to be conducted today by investigators from the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

“Previously I conveyed that investigators from the South Jakarta Metro Police had sent a summons letter to Mr RSO, which was scheduled for Friday, 28 August 2026,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head AKP Joko Adiwibowo on Friday (28/8/2026).

“However, yesterday RSO, through his legal counsel, sent a letter to the Criminal Investigation Unit which essentially submitted a request for postponement of the examination,” he added.

Joko said the reason was that Ruben Onsu’s side would prepare the necessary documents related to the case. The examination will be rescheduled for next week.

“To be rescheduled, they requested time of up to one week, namely Friday, 4 September,” he explained.

Previously, investigators from the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit named Ruben Onsu as a suspect in an alleged investment fraud case. Police emphasised that detention is the authority of investigators.

“Of course he will be examined first, examined first as a suspect. Later, whether detention is carried out or not will depend on the investigation process,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head AKP Joko Adiwibowo to reporters on Wednesday (26/8).
