Rubbish Piles Block Access Road to Puuwatu Landfill in Kendari

A number of trucks were parked on the road covered by piles of rubbish at the Puuwatu Final Waste Disposal Site (TPAS) in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, on Sunday (21/6/2026). The accumulation of waste on the TPAS Puuwatu access road was caused by the route to the active zone being difficult to pass due to muddy conditions, coupled with a lack of heavy equipment used to level the rubbish. Consequently, temporary dumping was carried out on the access road to ensure waste transportation in the area could continue.
