RSUI Launches New Centre of Excellence
Depok - The University of Indonesia Hospital (RSUI) has launched a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) to strengthen its flagship multidisciplinary services, providing comprehensive, integrated, and patient-safety-oriented healthcare. The launch of these specialised services is part of RSUI’s transformation as a teaching hospital prioritising service quality, education, research, and healthcare innovation.
Dr Natasya Claresta Viano, Manager of Medical Services at RSUI, stated in Depog, West Java, on Thursday, that the development of the Centre of Excellence is a strategic step for RSUI to provide superior healthcare supported by professional medical personnel, modern technology, and a patient-centred care approach. “Through the Centre of Excellence, RSUI provides more integrated healthcare services supported by multidisciplinary medical staff and facilities that are continuously developed to meet community needs,” she said.
RSUI’s Centre of Excellence includes several specialised service areas. The paediatric excellence centre offers integrated specialist and subspecialist paediatric care, ranging from growth monitoring and immunisation to the management of complex paediatric conditions. Supported by experienced subspecialists, services cover fields such as Paediatric Haematology-Oncology, Tropical Paediatric Infection, Paediatric Cardiology, Neonatology, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Emergency Paediatrics, Social Paediatric Development, Paediatric Nephrology, and Paediatric Neurology.
In the field of women’s health, services include Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology, Fetomaternal, Gynaecological Oncology, and Urogynaecology. The neurology excellence centre, supported by experienced specialists, covers Neurobehaviour, Neurophysiology, Neuroinfection and Immunology, Neurocritical and Intensive Care, Neurooncology and Headache, Neurootology/Vertigo, Neurorestoration, and Neurovascular care. These services provide comprehensive management for various neurological conditions, including stroke, motor disorders, vertigo, nerve infections, cognitive disorders, and headaches requiring intensive care.
The cardiovascular excellence centre provides comprehensive heart and vascular services, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation. Supported by specialists, services include Arrhythmia, Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Intensive and Emergency Care, Cardiovascular Imaging, and Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation. These services are supported by modern facilities such as echocardiography, treadmill tests, ICCU, and cardiovascular rehabilitation services.
The orthopaedics and traumatology excellence centre provides diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for various musculoskeletal disorders, including bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
