The Regional Public General Hospital (RSUD) Moh Ruslan in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has ensured that healthcare services will continue to operate optimally during the extended holiday period before and after Eid al-Fitr 2026. Various strategic measures have been prepared to ensure smooth operations and readiness of medical personnel.

“(Outpatient clinics) will be closed, but the emergency department will remain open 24 hours. Emergency services will continue to be handled,” said Director of RSUD Moh Ruslan, Eka Nurhayati, in Mataram, Monday (9 March 2026).

Eka ensured that healthcare services at RSUD Moh Ruslan will not be disrupted despite the holiday extending beyond two weeks. Outpatient patients can visit the emergency department. Patients with chronic illnesses can also collect medicines at the emergency department. “We are redirecting all services to the emergency department,” she affirmed.

During the extended holiday period, Eka stated that additional medical staff would be deployed, both in the hospital and in the field. Healthcare workers from the police unit will be seconded to the emergency department. Specialist doctors will also maintain their on-call schedules.

“(In the PSC team) there is no change; it remains as is. On takbir night we continue 24-hour patrols with no breaks. The hospital cannot close,” Eka added.

Additionally, all ambulance fleets will remain operational throughout the extended holiday before and after Eid al-Fitr. Ambulances will be equipped with drivers, doctors, and nurses.

For information, the national holiday and joint leave period is quite extended, beginning with Nyepi on 18-19 March, Eid al-Fitr on 21-22 March 2026, and joint leave on 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 March 2026.

The Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment (Menpan-RB) has issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 2 of 2026 regarding flexible work policy in the form of work from anywhere (WFA) for civil servants.

Meanwhile, for private sector workers, similar provisions are regulated in the Circular Letter of the Labour Minister (Menaker) Number M/2/HK.04/11/2026 regarding the Implementation of Work From Alternative Locations During the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr Holiday Period. This policy allows employees to continue working without being required to be at the office.
