RSHS Reveals Yuvita's Condition Improves, Now Able to Sit and Move

The management of Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung has reported that the condition of Yuvita Tri Rezeki (29), a victim of severe abuse and confinement, is gradually improving. The patient, who is currently recovering, is now able to sit up and engage in activities while awaiting surgery.

RSHS Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research, Dr Fitra Hergyana, stated that Yuvita’s condition has begun to improve, allowing her to sit and start moving around. He mentioned that the medical team has performed debridement, or wound cleaning, on the victim’s face in preparation for the operation.

“The director conveyed yesterday, thank God the patient is now able to sit and can start doing activities, and we have also performed debridement or wound cleaning while waiting for the surgery,” he said.

He explained that Yuvita is currently undergoing recovery and is waiting for surgery. The hospital cannot yet confirm the operation schedule as the focus remains on treating the patient’s infection.

“We are still dealing with an infection at the moment. That is why it is sterile; once the infection is handled, we will proceed immediately,” he said.

The hospital is also making efforts to pay attention to the victim’s psychological condition. The surgical process will not be a single procedure but will be based on the evaluation of the results.

“This operation cannot be done just once; it will require several stages. So we are looking at how the first operation goes, evaluating the results first,” he said.

The hospital has involved a team of around 40 doctors. This team has been prepared to ensure that all aspects of the patient’s health are handled comprehensively.

“We have also formed a team of doctors from the Ministry of Health and RSHS, around 40 doctors,” he said.
