RSHS Reveals Latest Condition of YTR and Scheduled Operation Plan

YTR, a victim of alleged confinement and abuse by Taufik Hidayat, is currently receiving treatment at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung, West Java. The victim suffered a number of serious injuries across almost her entire body.

RSHS Bandung Director of Human Resources and Education, Fitra Heryana, stated that YTR’s condition is now improving. The victim is able to communicate, eat, and sit up. “Her psychological state is also improving; she can now chat, eat, and also sit,” he said, quoted from a YouTube TvOne broadcast on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Despite her gradual recovery, YTR has not yet undergone facial reconstructive surgery. Fitra explained that the medical team is waiting for the victim’s health condition to be completely stable before proceeding with the operation. Currently, the team of doctors is focusing on the recovery process, including wound cleaning, improving nutritional status, and psychological recovery.

“She has not had surgery yet. While waiting for the operation, the important thing now is to wait for her recovery first, after which we will carry out the next step once she is stable. Currently, we are cleaning the wounds and also improving her general condition, her nutrition, and her psychological state,” he explained.

Regarding the estimated recovery time for YTR, the hospital is not yet able to confirm a timeline. The current focus remains on improving the general condition, including the psychological and nutritional state, of the victim of confinement and abuse by Taufik Hidayat. “We are focusing on her general recovery first. We cannot yet confirm how long it will take; what is certain is that we are restoring her psychological state and her nutrition until she recovers,” he added.

For context, a woman from Rancaekek, Bandung Regency, West Java, is an alleged victim of confinement and abuse by her boyfriend. The woman, identified by the initials YTR, was allegedly held captive by the suspect, identified by the initials Taufik Hidayat, in a rented room and was reported missing by her family for three years. After the victim introduced her boyfriend to her parents, the family lost contact with YTR for years. She was eventually found in a heartbreaking condition with severe injuries resulting from the alleged confinement and abuse.
