RSCM involved in slander dispute

JAKARTA: The Central Jakarta Police questioned on Wednesday several employees of Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) in response to a slander complaint filed by the hospital's director.

Detectives chief Comr. CH Potopoi was quoted by Tempo News Room as saying that more employees would be questioned as police widened their investigation into the complaint.

Merdias Almatsier has accused employees of slandering him by carrying posters that were unflattering to him during a demonstration in April that was covered by the media. The employees were demonstrating to demand raises and the payment of welfare stipends. --JP
